about
Bio
Born in 1991 in western France, Geoffrey Hillereau grew up between a tinkering father and a painter mother.
A graduate of the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris (ENSAD, 2016), he worked with designer Mathieu Lehanneur, sculptor Richard Texier, and Louis Vuitton before developing his own artistic language.
Combining digital precision with traditional craftsmanship, he explores what he defines as Engineered Ornament — an ornamental engineering approach where decoration is conceived through construction rather than carving.
Classical archetypes such as Medici vases, Corinthian capitals or friezes are dismantled, reinterpreted, and rebuilt through assemblies, engineered fragments, and hybrid materials.
His work has been shown at the Mobilier National, Galerie Italienne, Art Paris, Gallery Wilde, PIASA.
He lives and works in Paris, where each piece is designed, produced, and hand-assembled in his studio.
